MEDIA + THE DAILY ASSITEJ

Sara Mortazavi | 22-05-2011 09:50
It's already Sunday, incredible if you ask me!

Me and Jo (my wonderful marketing collegue from Scotland) are mostly working with press and the external communication during the 10 performing arts days. So far we had interviews with both TV, radio and many newspapers. There will also be theatre critics coming from Stockholm.

Here are some of the coverage in the Swedish media:

Nytt från Öresund
Skånskan (Interview with Niclas)
Skånskan (Interview with me)
Sydsvenskan
Sveriges Radio
NorraSkåne.se
Expressen

You can also go to Tv4 and SVT webpages to see the Tv-news from Friday.

Kulturbloggen
Sestrajcic Universum

Torben (from the Danish side of the marketing department) is together with Jo, working on something we call the Daily ASSITEJ. You can find your own paper at the fesivalcentres in both Copenhagen and Malmoe, as well as online on www.assitej2011.info. Let us know if you have any suggestions about things you want to read about, or if you taken any good photographs. Mail it to daily@assitej2011.info

Also remember that we publish all the photos from every day on our facebook page.

See you around!

CATCHING THE INTEREST OF PASSERS-BY

Torben Stig Hansen | 17-05-2011 10:45

The cyclists of Copenhagen move around the city approximately 1,2 million kilometres every day. How far is that? Imagine you and a friend going to the moon and back again! This particular cyclist passes by Copenhagen Central Station (in the background, to the left) and The Liberty Memorial Monument (to the right) - and then, all of a sudden, what does he see? "Hmm, a performing arts festival for young audiences? I can't wait to tell my kids!"

WELCOME TO LUND!

Hannah Modigh | 15-05-2011 13:48

During the festival and congress it is possible to join one of our organized tourist tours to Lund, which is a beautiful small town in Sweden where Sara, Claes, Lina and myself lives or have lived.

Lund is full of history and has a very vivid cultural life and student society.

This is the main buildning of Lund University, currently host for over 47 000 students. The university was founded in 1666 and became a symbol for the swedish takeover of Skåne (Scania) from Denmark. Today the university has a very close relationship with the university of Copenhagen.

On the tourist tours that are held on may 24th and 27th you will be able to visit the Cathedral of Lund where you'll find this beautiful piece of clockwork. It was originally installed in year 1425, restored in 1923 and renovated as late as last year by the danish clockmaker Søren Andersen.

Inside the cathedral you find this wooden model of the building which make it possible to have a closer look at the building, even for the visually handicapped.

The tourist tors will also take you to Kulturen, the biggest museum in Skåne and the second oldest open-air museum in the world. A visit to Kulturen is amongst the best ways to find out how life in Sweden has been during the last 200 years.

Lund is also the arena for Månteatern and Teater Sagohuset who takes part of the Swedish ASSITEJ OFF-programme.

See you soon!

/Hannah

TOURIST EXCURSIONS

Louise Munk | 03-05-2011 16:07

Hello Everyone!

I would like to remind everyone that registered for a Congress and Festival package that we are offering different kinds of special arranged tourist excursions. This means that you can experience many Swedish and Danish historical and cultural attactions while you are here.

For example we can offer a boattrip to the beautiful Swedish island Ven that includes a guided tour at the interesting Tycho Brahe museum and a roundtrip on the island.

 Photo:Perry Nordeng

Or what about a guided tour to the Scania province - the south-eastern part of Sweden. The guided bustour takes us through scenic landscapes to different historical attactions.

For more information about the various tourist excursions see 'good to know' - 'tourism'

Yours sincerely

Louise
